Certain eligibility criteria (described below) must be met in order to earn and redeem Points under the CHOICE REWARDS Program. It is important to note that the terms and conditions set out in this document: (i) relate solely to the CHOICE REWARDS Program; (ii) supersede any and all previously published terms and conditions relating to the CHOICE REWARDS Program; and (iii) are separate and distinct from the terms and conditions relating to the Rewards Card Account. The use of your Rewards Card Account will constitute your acknowledgment of and agreement with each of the terms and conditions described in this document relating to the CHOICE REWARDS Program.  Any reference in these terms and conditions to “us”, “our”, or “we”, are references to CUETS Financial.

In addition to the terms defined above or elsewhere in this document:

“Account” means the account maintained by CUETS Financial that records all Points earned by you from Eligible Purchases and promotional programs in connection with the CHOICE REWARDS Program; and

“Eligible Purchase” means the purchase of goods and/or services made by you or your authorized user(s) or secondary user(s) through the use of your Rewards Card Account, plus or minus any adjustments made to your Rewards Card Account in respect of those purchases. Eligible Purchases do not include, and you will not earn any Points in respect of, interest charges; cash advance, access cheque and balance transfer transactions; balance(s) permissibly transferred between CUETS Financial credit card accounts or accounts of its affiliates; cash advances re-designated as purchases; the purchase of money orders, wire transfers, bets, lottery tickets, or casino gaming chips; unauthorized charges (including those made with a lost, stolen, canceled or fraudulent Rewards Card Account); credit insurance premiums; over-the-credit-limit fees; and other fees and charges assessed on your Rewards Card Account.

Accumulating Points and your Rewards Card Account

The CHOICE REWARDS Program is a loyalty rewards program pursuant to which Points are accumulated based on the dollar amount of Eligible Purchases made with your CHOICE REWARDS MasterCard card account. Participating credit unions and caisses populaires may also allow you to accumulate Points on Eligible Purchases made with your Member Card® debit card account using an associated MasterCard account as the Points collection vehicle. Details about this option are available at participating credit unions or caisses populaires.

Rewards Card Accounts that participate in the CHOICE REWARDS Program can accumulate Points on Eligible Purchases to a maximum of 100,000 Points in any calendar year, except for CHOICE REWARDS World Elite MasterCard credit card accounts, which have no earn limit on the number of Points that can be earned in a calendar year on Eligible Purchases. GLOBAL PAYMENTTM MasterCard cards may also be subject to an annual maximum number of Points as determined by participating credit unions and caisses populaires.  Points earn rates vary depending on the particular Rewards Card Account held by the cardholder.

Your Points activity and balance appear each month on your CHOICE REWARDS MasterCard credit card account statement. The Points activity and balance of your Global Payment™ MasterCard card is accessible monthly, but appears quarterly on a special Global Payment™ MasterCard card CHOICE REWARDS Points statement that will be sent to you. You have 30 days from receipt of your statement to report any errors to us, otherwise your statement will be deemed to be correct.

If your Rewards Card Account: (i) is 30 days past due, you will not accumulate Points until your Rewards Card Account is in good standing; (ii) is 60 days past due, you cannot redeem Points until your Rewards Card Account is in good standing; and (iii) reaches 120 days past due, all of your unredeemed Points shall be forfeited.

Accumulation and award of Points creates no vested rights. Points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or used as partial or total payment of your Rewards Card Account or any other account issued and/or administered by CUETS Financial or any of its affiliates.

We reserve the right to terminate or extend the CHOICE REWARDS Program at any time or change any part thereof with or without notice including, without limitation, the basis for accumulating and redeeming Points, the basis for payment and the CHOICE REWARDS redemption offerings. Any such termination or changes may affect Points that have already been accumulated and any further accumulation of Points. We, and our affiliates, assume no liability with respect to any such termination or amendment.

In the event of a loss or theft of your CHOICE REWARDS MasterCard credit card, any accumulated Points will be automatically transferred to your new account when your new card is issued. We will be the final authority as to the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions.
